PRESS RELEASE

Pontarius – the community development consultancy that integrates business development, legal expertise, finance, environmental services, management, and technology – has, in collaboration with Guidance to Zero, been awarded a call-off contract for ongoing consultancy services with the National Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention at Region Stockholm (NASP). The agreement covers qualified consultancy support in technical, regulatory, and socio-economic matters related to suicide prevention initiatives and development projects.

Under the agreement, Pontarius will support NASP with expertise in areas including project management, technical analysis, evaluation of safety solutions, regulatory matters, technical specifications, and assistance with the testing and implementation of new technologies. The assignment also includes advisory services related to international procurement, certification issues, and socio-economic analyses. The contract has a duration of two years and a total value of up to SEK 650,000.

These are highly interesting and important issues to work with. We are studying experiences and technical solutions from Japan and South Korea, where suicide prevention measures in public environments have been actively developed and implemented for many years. An important part of the work is to test solutions in real-world environments in order to understand what works both technically and practically,” says Jonas Edberg, Traffic Analyst at Pontarius.

NASP is a national centre of excellence tasked with advancing and supporting suicide prevention through research, education, and methodological development. Through this agreement, NASP gains access to specialist expertise for future projects and feasibility studies involving technical and safety-related solutions.

Pontarius offers a broad competence base, with consultants and specialists in engineering, legal affairs, and socio-economic analysis. This multidisciplinary expertise was a particularly important factor in the procurement process.
