Pontarius strengthens inspection services in Sotenäs
PRESS RELEASE

Pontarius – the built environment consultancy that integrates business development, law, finance, environment, management and technology – has been awarded Sotenäs Municipality’s framework agreement for construction works inspection within building construction, civil engineering and groundworks. The agreement gives Pontarius an important role in the municipality’s continued development, with a focus on quality, sustainability and long-term value in the built environment.
Under the new framework agreement, Pontarius will support Sotenäs Municipality with construction works inspections as the municipality’s properties, land areas and technical infrastructure are built, developed and renewed. The municipality is responsible for a broad portfolio of properties and facilities, where quality assurance is an important part of every construction and development project. Construction works inspections help ensure that completed works meet contractual requirements and maintain the quality required over time.
A well-executed inspection is fundamentally about ensuring that the municipality receives the quality it has commissioned and that defects are identified before they result in future costs. In Sotenäs, both the coastal climate and the significant seasonal variations place particular demands on properties and infrastructure, says Niclas Bryngelsson, Regional Manager in Gothenburg.
The framework agreement covers two areas: construction works inspection within building construction, and within civil engineering and groundworks. Pontarius will be engaged on an ongoing basis according to the municipality’s needs and will thereby contribute to the development and management of Sotenäs’ built environment.
The agreement initially runs for one year, with the option to extend it for a further three years. All areas covered by the procurement have a combined maximum value of SEK 4 million over the full contract period.
